Euryops pectinatus 'Viridis'
Green and Gold Euryops
Description
This attractive and reliable can reach 4'-5' tall and 4' wide. Leaves are 3" long, deeply margined giving it a feathery appearance. Because leaves are placed alternately on stems, they hide the branches. Bright yellow, daisy-like flowers, 2" in diameter, bloom from winter through spring. Its foliage is green in color. It does best in full sun although it should have afternoon shade in desert areas. It prefers well draining soil and needs just a little irrigation during summer once it's established. It tolerates seaside areas. Prune fading flowers to promote more flowering. Do a severe pruning every few years to refresh the plant. Use branches and foliage in flower vases.
