Description
Attractive large tree tolerant of drought. Bark is shed in ribbons during summer, leaving upper trunk and branches smooth and white. The base of the trunk remains bark-coated. Reliable coppicer providing good fuelwood. Provides good tall shelter on dry exposed sites. Cream flowers from January-May. Great for bees. Evergreen. Moderately frost tolerant.
