Cedrus atlantica 'Glauca'
Blue Atlas Cedar
Description
This tree requires ample room for growth as it can quickly reach 100' tall and 40' wide. Foliage is needle-like, silvery to blue color and evergreen. This conifer tolerates full to part sun with well draining soil. Cones start off green color, changing to light brown in 2 years. With time, this conifer may have a pyramidal shape. Typically, there is one straight vertical trunk that ages with fissures and a silvery color. Branches eventually droop and can break with heavy snow on them. This tree can be planted in a container and used for bonsai.
