Description

This fast-growing shrub has an upright, branching habit that reaches 12'-15' tall and 8' wide, with willow-like leaves that are 4" in length. Its foliage is bronzy-green in color, which turns a reddish-purple shade in the fall and winter. It has compact growth and requires full sun for the best results. Small green flowers appear in summer (are insignificant) followed by brown seed capsules. These capsules will litter a pool. Do not plant in windy areas or high fire areas. This shrub is drougb tolerant once it's established but will do better with occasional water. It can be planted in desert areas that are protected from wind.
