Description

This strapleafed perennial is enjoyed for it enduring flowers and hearty constitution. It has dark green leaves that protrude from the base and lovely lily-like flowers that burst forward from long stems during summer. The overall height of the plant is 30" tall. It has purple flowers with a slight yellow-green throat that measures 6" across. Remove spent foliage in the fall. This attractive plant does best in full to part sun with regular watering. Established plants may become drought tolerant but appreciate extra watering during hot spells. Butterflies love the flowers. Looks great in borders or in containers.
