The circular movement of hugging groundcovers pay homage to the majestic canyon beyond the property line. Senecio (kleinia) and dymondia are attractive in this large ring with a slight mound of pebbles leading up to the urn holding aeonium succulents and a small Agave variety. Muhlenbergia (deer grass) and Euphorbia in red/orange do not detract from the natural setting of the canyon. Understated yet elegant.

This foliage is gray/green/silvery; it is a very dense, mat forming groundcover. It tolerates drought, cold, salt spray and poor soils. It's deep rooted and produces small, inconspicuous yellow flowers. Rock Ditty is great for use in between stepping stones or pavers.

This plant is probably one of the most popular and well known of the Euphorbias, because of its beautiful, freely branching, vertical lines of deep green, mottled in the center with a zig-zaggy pattern of cream colors. Generally grows to 6′ tall x 2′ wide, but can get to be much larger. It does well in full sun in cool coastal areas, or part shade elsewhere in hotter climates. There is a red color morph with its leaves and stems blushed with deep reds and burgundies in color.

These plants are one of the most useful succulents, due to their decorative effects and sculpturesque quality. The branched stems hold a wide rosetta of either light green or purple leaves. The flowers appear in long, clustered form. They need some shade

This Texas native is found on gravelly limestone and rocky areas. Leaves are an open rosette form, fairly flat and sword-shaped, green in color with spines along the margins. This plant reaches 2' tall and 3' wide. Occasionally, this plant sends up a tall spike 12' tall with greenish yellow flowers. This marks the death of the plant but there are usually offspring close by. Plant in full to part sun with well draining soil. It is drought tolerant once it's established.
